Seed Radio: The Confluence of Radio, Space, and Place

Participants of Seed Radio will have a chance to think about the culture and relationships around ecology, land use, and technology. In particular, the symposium considers a ’trailing-edge’ technology like radio as an opportunity to rethink our cultural practices not through new platforms or interfaces but through different configurations with easily available and simple technologies. Seed Radio is about microradio, horizontal radio practices rather than broadcast radio culture driven by increasing the number of listeners. This project is interested in the local, the micro-local, and the translocal. How can radio bring us into dialogue with a place?

10:00am-11:00am Seed Radio Workshop/performance
