Outskirts by Douglas Johnson and Ann E Coulter

Outskirts by Doug Johnson and Ann E. Coulter is on view at Artspace 304 from November 18 – December 23. In Outskirts, Johnson and Coulter channel their location of central Illinois to explore the landscape of the Midwest through different styles of painting. Coulter’s nature-based paintings and drawings are intricately detailed allowing the viewer to become immersed in wooded areas. Johnson’s landscapes investigate the complexity of color and light across Midwest plains and townscapes. Join us for a meet and greet with the artists at the opening reception on Saturday, November 18 from 3-5pm.
