MFA Thesis Exhibition: Golden Oak by Elizabeth Stensland
Golden Oak by Elizabeth Stensland is on view at Artspace 304 from April 12 – 22. The reception will take place Friday, April 15 from 5-7 pm.
Elizabeth Stensland is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and is completing her Master of Fine Art for Ceramics. Her work explores the overlooked spaces within a home –– spaces where memories and emotions are stored. She uses her personal experiences of growing up in the Midwest where there is a saturation of brown features in the home. Mixed media allows her to alter the memory that is recalled and create a surreal interaction between object and viewer.
