Him & Her by Joseph Anderson and Alexis Estes

Him & Her by Joseph Anderson and Alexis Estes is on view at The Corridor Gallery in the Carbondale Civic Center. The exhibition showcases collaborative painting explorations in texture, color and line. Joseph’s work merges abstraction, technique, creativity and 2D fundamentals with acrylic paint and textural elements. He works intuitively in the studio, allowing himself to create from sketches with choices guided by his spirit in the moment. Alexis artwork embodies boldness, expressiveness, and femininity often incorporating texture and upcycled materials. She creates each piece with love, aiming to inspire and empower her audience. Joseph and Alexis often work collaboratively, highlighting the importance of working experimentally in their art practice to push their work to new places.
