MFA Thesis Exhibition: The Magnetic Conductions by Andrew Beyke
The Magnetic Conductions by Andrew Beyke is on view April 27-29, with a reception on Friday April 29, 5-7 pm. The Magnetic Conductions is an interactive soundscape installation that explores memory and dreams through the use of magnetic tape recorders. At 4pm, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Beyke will be performing in the gallery space. This installation shows how plastic our dreams can be, changing in strange ways and how overtime these memories can fall apart, distort, or get lost entirely. Andrew Beyke is a Southern Illinois based multimedia artist, lighting designer, and musician. He is graduating from SIU with an MFA in Mass Communications and Media Arts.
